This is a constructed map of the wind speed and direction of the US using ArcGIS

This is a map of the micro climate of campus created by collecting data points and then compiling them. This is all of the data from all of the groups in the class. It is too much data to look at and is therefore useless. A closer look at individual groups data is necessary.

This is a point symbol map of wind speed for our group's data. This was created with arcGIS to display a cartographically correct weather map. The wind was not very high but you can see the higher values across the bridge.

This is a point symbol map of wind direction for our group's data. This was created with arcGIS to display a cartographically correct weather map.

This is the final microclimate data map. This was created by using the Kriging option on arcGIS. It shows the differences in weather depending on where you are. It's crazy how different the temperature, dewpoint, wind speed/direction can be by only walking across a college campus.

It is useful to compare our data from the microclimate of campus to these locations in order to get a better sense of how our data varies compared to other areas with different temperatures/precipitations. Some of the variables that may influence differences between our data and these locations is lack of buildings, lake effect, the river, and the fact that these are spread out over long periods of time while our data was only from one day and one specific time during that day.
