SNOW! I have actually been in Minnesota since yesterday afternoon, but I have heard that it snowed in Eau Claire. It definitely snowed here in my hometown as well. There has been a steady light snowfall for the majority of the day and we have shoveled the driveway twice.

Current conditions (EC)

Temperature: 27°F
Wind: 5 mph from the NW
Pressure: 29.81 in
Humidity: 76%
Dew Point: 21°F

Eau Claire will continue to experience the relatively same conditions over the next few hours and into the night, with a "mix of wintry precipitation."

Winter storm Q is going to strike the Northeast over the next 48 hours due to the same dip on the jet stream (why they are continuing with the name Q) and the upper level disturbance that is still present. This will trigger a surface low development directly over the Carolinas and move northeast past the coast. This will push some warm air over the coast most likely saving New York and Boston from snow. They will likely get rain while it will snow more inland and in the higher elevations due to the cold air. This will occur on Saturday as well as Sunday. Other models suggest that New York and Boston will still receive a few inches of snow.
